Our Carer Companions are volunteers who offer much more than practical help. They offer their presence, time and kindness to provide comfort, dignity and peace to those in need. As a Crown Carer Companion, the role is to be there for patients and their families .
A cancer carer is a special individual who has lived experience with cancer who provides personalised support to cancer patients. Their role extends far beyond basic caregiving; they are trusted confidants who listen, understand and adapt to the unique needs of each patient. Whether it's accompanying a patient to medical appointments, managing medication, providing emotional support or helping with daily tasks, Carer Companions are there every step of the way. They serve as a bridge between patients, families and healthcare providers, ensuring seamless communication and coordinated care.
